Parent Connection Support Group

Our group meets every Tuesday from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Children have the opportunity to socialize with other children, have fun, and learn different family topics. Parents get support from other parents, learn about topics specific to families, and get a break from their children. Free dinner, and childcare is provided. Call 941-8336 for more information.

Community Band

ACB meets every Wed evening @ 7:30 p.m. at the Railroader's Memorial Museum Memorial hall meeting room. We are looking for talented musicians from high school on up through college and career age. All brass, woodwind and percussion groups are welcome. Our repertoire consists of popular, movie, show themes, plus some traditional selections-a little something for everybody. Foster Parents Needed

On any given day in Pennsylvania, there are more than 20,000 children in foster care. Because of this incredible need, NHS Canal Ways in Hollidaysburg is urgently seeking individuals willing to provide loving homes for local children who have been neglected or abused.

NHS Canal Ways prides itself on providing new foster parents with complete training, 24-hour professional support, and financial compensation. Our next round of foster parent classes is starting soon. Supportive Services at Evergreen Manors in collaboration with the Adult Education Center offers GED classes every Wednesday at 4:30 PM at the Supportive Services Office 5928-A Evergreen Court.
